A. Nothing herein shall require a change or alteration to land uses or structures existing on the effective date of this chapter.

B. This chapter shall apply to a new land use established after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this title or the reestablishment of a land use after its discontinuance, except that:

1. LMC 18A.10.135.10(B) (Compatible Use Standards: Imaginary Surfaces) applies only to new buildings or structures of at least four thousand (4,000) square feet; and

2. LMC 18A.10.135.8(B) (Light Emissions) shall not apply to exterior lighting provided in association with single-family homes, mobile homes, and duplexes.

C. This chapter shall apply to any portion of a parcel located within the Lakewood Military Coordination and Notice Area (MCNA). The Lakewood MCNA includes all portions of other applicable Military Influence Areas (MIAs) located within the City boundaries. The Lakewood MCNA area encompasses the entire City and is depicted on the map in Figure 2A.

D. Parcels located in a Military Influence Area are subject to the requirements of this chapter, as well as all other applicable regulations of the City of Lakewood.

E. In addition to the standards set forth in this chapter, all uses and structures must comply with all other applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including Title 14, Part 77 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations). [Ord. 726 § 2 (Exh. B), 2019.]
