There shall be no less than seven nor more than 15 members of the Public Safety Advisory Committee who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council and who shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council. The members shall be residents of the City unless the Council finds that appointment of a nonresident, by virtue of business involvement or expertise, will benefit the Committee and ultimately the City. In addition to the members as provided above, the Chief of Police or designee shall serve as an ex officio member of the Advisory Committee. [Ord. 439 § 1, 2007; Ord. 413 § 1, 2006.]
