It is unlawful for any peddler or solicitor to make or cause to be made, directly or indirectly, for the purpose of selling or procuring an order for the sale of any goods, wares, merchandise, services, or anything of value, any assertion, representation, or statement of fact which is untrue, deceptive or misleading.
