A. Every child 12 years of age or younger shall wear a personal flotation device while on board any vessel, except while in a cabin.

B. Every person on board a recreational vessel less than 16 feet in length of open construction shall wear a personal flotation device while the vessel is underway.

C. 33 CFR Part 175, Subpart B, 46 CFR Subchapter C, Subpart 25.25 and WAC 352-60-030 and any future amendments thereto are adopted by reference as this subsection C, “Personal flotation devices.”

A violation of this section constitutes a Class 2 civil infraction under Chapter 1.48 LMC. [Ord. 387 § 1, 2005; Ord. 86 § 1, 1996.]
