The purpose of this chapter is to establish permitted land uses for the City of Lakewood. The use of a property is defined by the activity for which the building or lot is intended, designed, arranged, occupied, or maintained. The use is considered permanently established when that use will be or has been in continuous operation for a period exceeding sixty (60) days, except that in no case shall a transitory accommodation, which may be allowed to operate continuously for a period of up to ninety (90) days. A use which will operate for sixty (60) days or less, and hosting the homeless by religious organizations, are considered temporary uses and are subject to the requirements of Chapter 18A.30 LMC, Article VIII. All applicable requirements of this code, or other applicable state or federal requirements, shall govern a use located within the Lakewood City limits. [Ord. 756 § 2, 2021; Ord. 726 § 2 (Exh.
